Welcome to Clean Concept — laundry detergent, minus the bottle, the water, and the eleven ingredients you can't pronounce.
Doing laundry the regular way is just... tiring. The lugging, the measuring, the time it eats up for something that should be simple. At some point I realized this problem had already been solved — laundry sheets exist, and they've existed for a while, just not here. So I decided to bring it to India. I started working on Clean Concept about 3-4 months ago, and we're live now, in June 2026.
What we actually make
This is detergent — without the water. Pressed into a sheet.
No tub of blue gel. No plastic bottle that outlives you. No "natural fragrance" doing the heavy lifting while the rest of the ingredient list does damage. Just clean ingredients, doing what they're supposed to do, packed in paper.
Why this, why now
Bengaluru runs out of water most summers. Conventional detergents dump phosphates and surfactants straight back into that same water table — the one your dhobi rinses in, the one that ends up downstream of everyone. That's not a sustainability pitch. That's just the math.
We're not an eco-brand asking you to compromise on convenience for the planet's sake. We're a convenience brand that happens to not poison the water table. If those two things were ever in conflict, we'd have a harder pitch to make. They're not.
What "Clean Concept" means
No hidden backstory here — the name is the promise. Clean ingredients. Clean process. Clean water, eventually, if enough people switch. We're not interested in giving it a deeper meaning than that. It already says what it needs to.
